The City in Motion project is focused on re-activating dormant post-industrial sites along the lakeshore with interactive programs. The project creates an opportunity to restructure how we develop the quickly vanishing lots along the lakeshore. Instead of consumer based programs or condominiums, the city needs a more socially beneficial spaces. The theme of sites along the lakeshore are embodied in a more cohesive plan at the Lever Brothers site, located at the north-east intersection where the Gardiner, Don Valley Parkway and Lakeshore meet.
The focal point of the Lever Brothers site is a multi-programed forum. The open-to-air building will provide space to perform musical and theatrical performances as well as athletic events.
